More energy-efficient, “low-e” windows were installed on the west-facing side to reduce solar heat gain in the afternoons, and insulation was added throughout. We also renovated the basement with a sophisticated color palette: an exposed ceiling finished in matte black, light gray concrete floors, and crisp white walls.
